Internet Beginner

If you're brand new to the Internet, here are some resources that might help you get your bearings:

  • About.com's Internet for Beginners - This useful site has lots of links to help you understand the Internet. Click here to get to their "Welcome" page which pulls a lot of the information together in one place.
  • TUCOWS - An excellent site for seeking out software that you can download and try out. Some of what's available is freeware (meaning you can use it at no charge), and some is shareware (meaning that you can try it out, but must pay for it if you decide it's right for you).
  • Internet.com's Webopedia - An online computer dictionary for computer and internet technology terms.
