Changing Dialup Settings / May 2004 On May 13, 2004, Atl-Connect began migrating customers to our new dial-up network. This FAQ explains the steps you must take to modify your configuration to switch to the new network. Please note that you MUST make these changes before July 1. 2004!
  1. Reconfigure dial-up networking to use a new number and username.

    Recommended numbers are:
    (678) 744-0006
    (404) 978-9706
    (678) 223-9706

Our nationwide list of numbers is available here.

    For Windows 95/98:
    • Open My Computer from the desktop.
    • Double-click Dial-Up Networking
    • Right-click the Atl-Connect Icon and choose Properties
    • Update the dialup number with one of those shown above
    • Click OK and close everything to return to the desktop
    • When you double-click to connect, you must add @atlcon.net to your username. For example, if your username is johndoe, then you must change it to johndoe@atlcon.net. Typically, if you've checked the "remember password" box, then you will only need to make this change once, and Windows will remember it the next time you dial-up.

    For Windows 2000/XP:
    • Click Start > Settings > Network Connections
    • Right-click the Atl-Connect Icon and choose Properties
    • Update the dialup number with one of those shown above
    • On the Options tab, make sure there is a check mark next to "Prompt for username and password"
